In recent months CMG PTY LTD and it’s group of companies were acquired by the Regal Beloit Company (RBC), this acquisition is a very positive move and will allow us to build on what is a already a solid base.Regal Beloit Corporation is an international manufacturer of electrical and mechanical motor control components head quartered in Beloit, Wisconsin. Its stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol ‘RBC’. RBC’s strength is in its market diversity as it serves an expansive array of markets from heavy industry to high technology.
The Regal Beloit business model is to have separate electrical and mechanical divisions to ensure their customers specific requirements are met by a sales team totally focused on that core group of products.

In support of our BSC distributor, Calstar Bearings/RESCO, CMG attended the Telstar/RESCO trade show held at the Grafton Racecourse in New South Wales on 26 November 2008.The show was an opportunity to display and promote our products, in particular the Cycloid 600, SMR, CW, HLA, MT, Varvel Gears and VACON Drives. Representatives from a variety of industries - such as the timber mill industry, abattoirs, farm produce processors and industrial maintenance contractors - attended the show.

CMG saves the MCG! top
With the end of the Australian Football League season, the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) have been dusting off their equipment in preparation for the cricket season to commence.Amongst the numerous electrical equipment used during a cricket match are the MCG’s sight screens, which play an important role in today’s modern game. Sight screens are used to assist batsmen to see the ball more clearly. Unfortunately the drive cabinet on one of the sight screens was found to be full of water, reaching the level of the VFD. A call to CMG resulted in the VIC sales team visiting the MCG.
Assessing the situation, we downloaded the parameter set from the suspect drive and removed the drive for detailed inspection. Due to the impending Shield Match, a new drive was supplied and the parameter set downloaded to the drive, ready for installation.
By making the extra effort to pre-load the drive with parameters, we have again provided a solution, not just a product. I wonder if they might need someone to look after the drives during the Boxing Day Test??
