CMG Sponsors 75th IEC General Meeting in Melbournetop

CMG is proud sponsor of the 75th IEC General Meeting held 19th to 31st October 2011 in Melbourne.

Founded in 1906, the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) is the world’s leading organization for the preparation and publication of International Standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies. These are known collectively as “electrotechnology”.

CMG immersed in Water Matters

CMG Brisbane participated at another successful W.I.O.A (Water Industry Operations Association) Conference and Trade Exhibition recently at the Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane.

The trade expo was sold out with 132 Trade Exhibitors showcasing products for the treatment and transportation of both waste and clean water. Th e venue was well supported by Engineers and operators from major and shire councils, stretching from Northern New South Wales to Cairns in North Queensland.

Many of our major accounts in the pumping industry were present. Th e CMG stand was very popular and we received several good enquires for both Drives and Motors over the three days of the event.

OILPATCH 2009

CMG was represented recently at Oilpatch 2009 in Roma, South West Queensland. Oilpatch is an annual networking two day event, where Oil/Gas Companies converge to share ideas culminating with a golf game and dinner on the Saturday.

The event saw over 250 delegates from Energy, Engineering, Pumping and Rig Operators from the Surat Basin and Brisbane attend.

The golf event was a “challenge” in itself… The fairways were mostly bare dirt and rocks - some players used a cordless drill to “tee up” on the fairways!

CMG was a minor sponsor of the event and it was a great opportunity to spend time with some of our Energy customers. The Coal Seam Gas Industry has enormous potential - the CMG Brisbane Branch has supplied over 350 Ex N motors of various sizes to the energy and pumping companies this fi nancial year and is assured of similar success next year.
