Hazardous Area MotorsCMG’s stand alone facility, FLAMETEC, was the first workshop in Australasia to attain IANZ Accreditation to the AS/NZS 3800 standard. It is qualified to overhaul, repair and modify motors and enclosures used in explosive atmospheres.
CMG is the only manufacturers of Ex certified motors in New Zealand to IEC Ex and ATEX standards. Hazardous area motors are available in Exe, ExnA, ExtD (formerly DIP) or Exd configurations.
Rewinds
CMG is fully equipped to rewind all types of AC and DC units, as well as winding transformers, generators, welders and similar equipment using the highest quality insulation systems.
We offer high voltage motors as well as an extended warranty on the coils and also have a re-design service to help you to solve tricky motor problems including multi-speed designs.
Repairs
CMG Services’ highly professional workshop offers fast and efficient repairs to AC and DC motors, pumps, and a variety of wound or rotating electrical equipment, including rebarring of rotors.
Comprehensive testing facilities allow us to run all motors at any frequency, and our test instruments are traceably calibrated to international standards.
Maintaining our own engineering shop overcomes outwork delays, and we specialize in upgrading or modifying motors to given specifications with fast turnaround times.
Technical Service and Support
CMG’s service extends to condition monitoring – including bearing condition analysis and specialized motor checking – with programs individually tailored to your requirements.
We can also assist with power factor correction, drives and technical issues, and you are most welcome to consult our engineers for ‘one-off’ checks or longer-term support services.
On-site Services
When on-site maintenance or repairs are clearly the most practical option CMG is fully equipped for commutator grinding, bearing changing, replacing carbon brushes, etc. And if it has to come out we can remove and re-install it for you.
New Equipment
Truly a one stop destination, CMG Service carries a comprehensive range of single and three phase motors, flanges and accessories. We also stock submersible, centrifugal and similar pumps, and motor related control equipment such as soft starters, variable speed controllers and overloads.
